How To Choose A Commercial Charcoal Grill
When purchasing a commercial charcoal grill, here are some brief but very important pointers that one should have in mind.

Of utmost importance is how well the commercial charcoal grill can cook. We all adore that barbecue taste and we delight in entertaining our friends and ourselves, especially during summer, with barbecued food. Nothing else about the grill really matters if the food cannot be barbecued evenly and in an excellent manner. Durability cannot be your top priority even if you wanted it to. You wouldn’t want a useless charcoal grill to last so long if it cannot even do what it was made for which is to barbecue. For even heating to be done on the food, you will need to purchase a grill that is not too big for your needs. Always keep this in mind, you will want to have an evenly barbecued product in the end, which means you will have to use a lot of charcoal so that the whole inside of the grill would be properly heated.
Another reason why you should never buy a grill that is too big is because you will be wasting charcoal and space. Very few of us realize that one of the most important factors in determining whether food is well-barbecued is the temperature of the grill. It must be able to go as high as possible. Ever noticed how restaurants have the ability to cook your steak at over 1000 degrees when you order one? A normal commercial charcoal grill rarely get to temperatures over 700 degrees simply because most are just too big. This is the reason why the best grill, after so many years still comes from Weber. If you don’t take my word for it, why not take a look at the scores given in Consumer Reports. Or, check against what users have to say in their reviews on Amazon.com, or for that matter any other review sites. Notice the differences between the Weber grill and other grills (and no, I am not selling them)? One significant difference is: – the grills are small and domed in shape. The fact being that their small size leads to them always taking the first spot for the best tasting foods cooked by barbecue grill all the time. What else sets it apart from the rest? Nothing, it’s a normal grill like any other ones sold in stores. I cannot emphasize this enough: most people, especially Americans, buy grills that are many sizes too large.
In addition, you will want to demand for quality. Do not be tricked into thinking that it is good by the shiny exterior of the charcoal grill. The exterior has no functionality. The interior is what matters: – is the material of the grates stainless steel? If they are not, they will soon begin to warp and rust. And beyond this matter, the next thing that might fail on a charcoal grill is the grill grate supports – they are usually thin pieces of metals that are poorly made and screwed on from the outside. This is unacceptable! Always look for stainless steel head screws, and by that I mean heavy gauge stainless steel, supports that would actually support the grill grate and –my golden rule– handles must never be made of wood. Wood expands and contracts when heated by the grill and by the weather be it rain, snow and etc. Handles made from wood usually comes off within the first year, and that is if you are lucky enough. Also try to avoid – and I cannot believe myself that I have to say this—do not purchase a charcoal grill that have handles that have just a piece of wood screwed onto the metal handle meaning the wood piece does not wrap around the metal part completely. What you get when you have such handles is that when the charcoal grill goes up to temperatures of about 700 degrees, anything made of metal attached to it will also heat up – which will include the handle! Look for materials such as ceramic, fiberglass, composite plastic, corinthian leather, anything that is a poor conductor of heat. Anything but cheap wood handles attached to the grill two little screws.
As a further pointer, you may want to purchase a charcoal grill that has plenty of other functions. Functions that are commonly included are a side burner, a rotisserie, a warmer, and some tools that are on offer or trays in which you can put your spice. Once again, look for quality materials that can withstand the unpredictable weather and the ruggedness of the outdoor. Avoid thin and bendable metals such as tin. With all these simple pointers in mind purchasing a dream charcoal grill that is well-made and living up to your expectations becomes so much simpler, with the added incentive of it being reasonably priced.
Hope that what I have shared with you has better helped you to choose a commercial charcoal grill.
Have a great time,
